San Luis Peak Summit Markers to commemorate your hike!

       Located in the San Juan Range, San Luis Peak offers reclusive access to Colorado?s backcountry providing great opportunities for wildlife viewing. San Luis is one of Colorado;s 14ers.
        San Luis Peak is a 14,022ft peak in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. It is located in the La Garita Wilderness (part of the Rio Grande National Forest) in Saguache County approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Creede. It is situated rather far to the east of the other fourteeners in the San Juans, and has more of a wilderness setting than many of the other. It ranks 50th among the Colorado 14ers.
       San Luis Peak is a relatively straightf orward climb, with two hiking routes to the summit, the South Ridge and the East Flank.
