Challenger Point is located in Colorado's Sangre de Cristo Range. Challenger is named in memory of the crew of the space shuttle "Challenger".
Our Challenger Point summit markers are solid bronze, stamped exclusively for High Mountains by a U.S. mint and are artistic representations of the classic U.S. Geological Survey Markers. The markers are 3 ½ inches in diameter and 6 ¼ ounces in polished or antique bronze. Each contains the latest and most accurate information available for latitude, longitude and elevation based on the latest NAD83 and NAVD88 standards .
